Roger get to the final island and had the one piece but we have no idea what it is .
Also Roger blitzed things as soon as he got Oden and got to the final island .
The whole chosen one aspect bigger than getting the OP .
Also saying Yonko work hard to get where they are funny since Kaido enslave a whole island and was chilling out for years.

- If you don't care for a good villian,it is then your problem. A good manga works with a good villian. Why was Doffy so unique? Kaido is not just a basic villian. Dude was build up since 400 chapters, because of him lot of bad things happen. He is a major antagonist, a villian who is a Reason why Luffy got 3 Powerups in a fucking same arc. Lot of questions still need to get answered.
- For lot of reader it is important.
Again because of you having a low expectation and don't care for a good plot it doesn't mean we also must have the same opinion. You try to find excuse to defend that nonsense what Oda do this arc.
-Or it can happen with Kaido standing up again, nothing would speak against it if he indeed stand up with awakening and to give Kaido a proper build up.
Oden got over 10+ chapters a flashback.
Kaido has a more meaning then Oden, he should get a proper build up.

- If Oda hadn't build up any tension after 100+ pages of fighting I fail to see how extending the fight would help. I think it's time to take the L on that
- His drunk forms are his awakening. Oda could've easily forgotten to mention it, he's not perfect.
- Luffy is the last wisdom king
- We have gotten crumbs of Kaido's motivations. Honestly if he were to die or admit defeat next chapter we could finally have one last flashback that puts everything together ala WB. Also Rocks is obviously being kept for BB
- Easily post wano lore dump
- It could be that Oda's planning something else for Momo. Anyways the island thing is done
- The dawn can come next chapter. In Thriller Bark at one point it was dead dark and the next we were being reminded of the dawn.
- The citizens can show some backbone right before Kaido is about to die next chapter, or they could even capture him.
