Yes, cliche villain upbringing traits. Arrogant young master who thinks that he is above others.
Nah man, Doflamingo is so well-written that 10 years later you could still have a debate about how much of his deviousness was due to nature and how much to nurture.
His own declarations feel contradictory at some point and make you wonder the veridicity behind it.
This is one point that comes out on top of my mind.
BigMom is an all round character if we simply ignore her anti fighting feats. She is more dichotomous than Doflamingo. She is a hero for her kingdom people and villain for straw hat pirates. Kaidou character is not just a villain who became villain because of some villain upbringing cliche. There is more to Kaidou character we haven't seen yt.
As far as we saw, all about Kaido is this:
- Born monsteously strong and rebeled to not join the Marines
- Becomes a Pirate as a consequence and joins Rocks
- Is invited by the old hag to take Wano as a tyrant, agrees simply cause he can
- There are some shades of honor in the way he feels about Oden but that's it, nothing made him reconsider his position in this 20 years
I mean, what's so complex about him?
Linlin's story is more interesting to be honest
