Bro you think it's a good idea to go hiking / riding a bike across the landscape in Australia as a foreigner?
Uhhh, I wouldn't say so. Australia has had some pretty horrific backpacker killers. But honestly I wouldn't think it's a good idea to hike/bike across the landscape in any country without at least a group of 4 or 5. That being said many people have done it and been fine, I'd just be wary. Sleep in well populated areas if possible, dont trust strangers and be aware as possible.. Australians aren't the nicest to foreigners, especially ones with bad English, views have changed in the last 30 years though but personally I wouldn't take the risk without a large group

oooo....okay:believe:

Damn.

I wasn't planning to travel as far as Australia yet, but it's good to hear a local's opinion for future reference.
Sorry to rain on your parade bro, I'd just hate to see anyone die anywhere. Especially if it's whilst backpacking and having fun. I mean plenty do back pack everywhere buts there's always a percentage that get killed by murders and rapists, heck wildlife and getting lost can kill you and outside of cities in Australia it's a whole lotta nothing just dirt and dangerous animals.. If you ever come to Australia and want to explore the outback or bush whacked locations, there are a lot of tours and stuff
