more assumptions sabo was seen reading a journal on ace's death so of course he knows as if the marines would waste the opportunity to wank akainu.

Is he actually dead? Let’s go through the pros and cons of Kaido dying by magma:

Pros:

1. This is a nice, consequence-free way for Oda to remove Kaido from the story without dealing with the ethical implications of drawing his main characters murder an enemy on panel. Kaido is simply too powerful for him to remain in the story, as both an enemy and an ally, and so Oda has to remove him by killing him. But Oda has never drawn his main characters murder their enemies on panel because he wants to keep events with the Straw Hats relatively light-hearted and relatively non-controversial. Killing Kaido by magma is a great way for Oda to “quietly” remove Kaido from the manga in a non-morally-complicated way.

2. Wano would finally be over after 4 brutally long years

3. The most durable Yonko dying by magma would give me a boner hard enough to break Diamond

Cons:

1. Kaido’s defeat was so pathetic that it almost seems like destiny that he should come back into the manga for a “real” defeat.

Him being immortalise in a seastone under the sea floor with no one ever witnessing him and laid there for eternity would be the last wish for a person who seek honorable death in a war.
This is pretty dope in narrative sense and Oda punishing the villain

But at the end of the day we have to admit that Kaido is a villain, who unfortunately wanted to have glorious ending and you know what Oda would do?? we shouldn't get our hopes too high seeking WB type lvl ending in the first place.

Akainu has done one of the most if not most unforgettable things in the series. There will be savage revenge which is inevitable and the ending for him would be something certainly not a "badass ending" and could be much worse ending than Kaido
