Kaido and BM are dead. Several characters state that they're "gone" and new Yonkou are being announced. If BM was alive she would just return to WCI and continue being an emperor.
Remember how the news stated after WCI that Luffy defeated BM?
She still remained one meaning you only lose your title when you're ded.

You guys should take your time with this chapter, it's the last before the 1 month break 
I agree, but this is just another thing that makes no sense at all from a writing perspective.
1) Luffy said that he himself (!) will beat every single emperor.
2) Luffy re-emphasized it multiple times to BM's face, that HE will be the one to end her for good.
3) Luffy promised Katakuri that HE will be the one to defeat BM for them.
4) BM rather confidently stated that "you better not believe this is enough to kill me!" while she saw the lava sea she was falling into and the bombs that fell down with her
