Harlan fails when trying to land and ends up prone on the ground (he will need to spend half his speed next round to get up) and tried using his veil in desperation at close range of the Chimera, but the Lion roars in recognition and looks down at him.

There was a punishment to the stealth check because of the fail jump.

The Chimera's perception was higher.

But right now, the Chimera is engaged in combat with all of you.

That moment was just to tell you that the Chimera is seeing you, not that it wants to attack you right away.

After all, Pot did just cause 27 fucking damage on it.
