Well yea the chapter isn't out so we'll see how it really looks. But I think Oda isn't playing around with ending One Piece, he already held out GB for far too long, he just got his intro out of the way. Now we know what GB is about. Could definitely have been done better but Oda is known for big moments after the dust settles in an arc.

GB intro was simply on his checklist as that moment for Wano.

If an Admiral introduction is just a box to be checked for oda in his rush to complete the series now, i cant imagine he would stick the ending very well.

I don't get it, Shanks has already had a bigger moment than this in Admiral territory infront of the strongest Admiral. This does nothing to push that narrative any further than it already had been pushed years ago.

Shanks was literally just a tool for GB to leave Wano. If anything the fact that Shanks had to be here just to make GB go away speaks volumes. But also we all know GB wasn't a real threat to the entire alliance by himself, no one is. So Oda just really introduced GB and had him leave without getting into a really ugly scenario (either make the alliance look incompetent, or dehype GB). Shanks was his magic solution to that.
