You're wrong here. The Era up until MF was WB's. He sat before the throne blocking even Shanks way. He was clearly the ruler of the era as he was the ruler of the sea and guardian of the throne. It is after his death people started swarming into the New world.

Against the entire crew for sure, but in a 1v1 I'd bet on Aramaki.

Not even Kaido was able to handle the Samurai and Yamato as easily as GB did - and Kaido is the strongest pirate.

He actually did not handle Yamato as she wasn't fighting due to Momo orders and everyone there except for Momo were still recovering (Some of them were almost killed by Kaido).
