Current Events Sanji vs King or Zoro vs King? Pros and cons.

You would probably said the same thing if we were in 2005 and discussing whether Sanji will defeat Jabra or not after what happened versus Blueno. Now, I'm not saying that Sanji will fight King because I doubt it, but that's not my point.



This is the typical thing that just makes no sense to be considered in the first place. It is like discussing why Kizaru didn't blow Luffy's head with a lasser if he's precise enough to break a little key. Things like that simply won't happen, just like Sanji won't stop fighting to take a rest in the highs.

I know what you mean but the comparison doesn’t work since the second strongest in CP9 was Kaku, not Jabra. Sanji didn’t fight Kaku.

Zoro vs king
Sanji vs queen
Jinbei vs Jack
Tho i guess oda doesn't necessarily have to go with that

Tbh tho sanji vs king does sound pretty badass based on both their abilities but it really comes down to zoro being stronger and fighting the stronger opponent

Like an arial fight throwing big fire attacks back and forth sounds cool on paper
Also both got weird black onesies and devil vs angel

Tho oda looks like hes going for perv vs perv and silent badass vs silent badass
Which will likely be cool to see anyway

the problem is zoro can’t fly so king needs to fight close to the ground which is completely abandoning the flying element of king who is set up as aerial opponent

so unless marco comes to wano i think sanji needs to fight king that’s what makes more sense

Zoro vs King will be a better matchup.

Zoro has the long range slashes so range is not really an issue here. Zoro also fought against Kaku who could fly back in EL so flight is not an issue for him.
Zoro wants to cut fire. King's fire didn't go out for day (5 iirc) after the fight with Oden's men. This is a good fire to go against
Zoro is always interested infighting swordsmen

Defeating King will get Zoro 1 step closer to achieving his dream

Zoro has long range attacks.
Flight is not an issue for Zoro since King will still also have to land attacks on Zoro. Unless he pulls a Pica and runs away all the time from Zoro, then Zoro won't have much issues with his flight.

Zoro already fought against Kaku who had flight and long range slashes before in EL. King will just be an upgraded version of Kaku with more abilities.

Sanji vs Flying Six leader and get power up and he fights Queen next.

Nekomamushi and Inuarashi vs Jack because they have unfinished business.

Jinbei might fight one of BM YC because they also have unfinished business.

Each fighter has their pros and cons. Also curious to how strong the writers will make orochi, even though he has been shown to be a weak coward

Did Kaku fly at least once during their battle?
I remember it taking place 99% on the ground.

I think Drake is neutral. It will benefit him if SH and Beast Pirates beat each other.

I think Nekomamushi and Inuarashi grew stronger so numbers might become good warm up for monster trio.

It's more likely zoro fights king than sanji. Sanji vs king would be alright to but the thing is who now does zoro fight? You can argue queen or smoothie but both aren't the strongest swordman zoro could actually beat. The wano samurai are to weak so far and kaido or BM are out of the question. King is or maybe orochi if oda does a 180 with his strength are the 2 biggest fights zoro can get. Sanji's biggest fight is queen or jack depending on how much stronger the rs made him and if he gets his mutant gene awakened.

Idk why flying is a issue to some. Flying is a utility ability and does nothing to opponents. Everyone that can fly always went to cqc and closed distance. Luffy, sanji, all of cp9, marco, mingo, smoker, etc all get close to opponents to fight them. So what if king can fly he'd still have to come down to fight like every other character that can fly does. This isn't even counting like you said zoro having ranged attacks.
