I don't think it is. Imu chose someone to erase. And cobra and vivi were right at their finger tip. Sabo and them were on a secret mission to retrieve kuma and send a message iirc. They probably intervened after chaos errupted.
I don’t know judging by Sabos reaction, to seeing kuma, he likely intervened first then in the chaos that assumed the world government took the opportunity to kill Vivi, and cobra got in the way and died as collateral damage.

Again, Vivi just had her dad die. The world government betrayed them, why would she trust random strangers like the revs? The only people who she can trust are the straw hats.

Kaidos dialogue throughout was amazing, it implied SO MUCH about his beliefs, past, trauma, experiences, whatever. His own philsophies too. Absolutely tons of layers.

Its like @Rottkins and I think @EtenBoby said too, Kaido is like an Onion, or Oni are like Oni-ons. They have layers.

Since we know giants were enslaved and betrayed too by Carmel, Oars was a continent puller apparently and even the likes of someone like Kuma was labelled as a tyrant by the WG, I wouldnt be surprised if ancient giants/Oni were enslaved and forced to do horrible things too.

Zoro will kill Kaido (I think in 1061).
But, he'll kill Zombie Kaido, and then we'll spend the rest of the series arguing about how it doesn't count. Hehhhhh...

Oda has never let a villain achieve his dream. Kaido wanted to die a glorious death. Being defeated by Joy Boy fits. In order to ruin Kaido's dream, his death has to be corrupted. Blackbeard and Moria resurrecting him is the most disgusting twisting of Kaido's dream I can imagine.

Get ready for hell, it's coming.
I expected Kaido to die with a smile
