Her entire character was contradictory she constantly said she was cutting ties with Kaido then next chapter introduce herself as son of Kaido. She called herself his son meanwhile the title box called her his daughter.

Honestly.....Yamato just became one of the most useless plot characters in the entire One Piece story.
She simply has no reason whatsoever to exist mid raid and don't even leave Wano.

If she says that she wants to help rebuild Wano like Oden did in Kuri, I can kinda see where she's coming from.
If she literally says I just wanna do the same route that Oden did in Wano, it's dumb (especially because Wano is currently a shit-hole)
