So glad the crew has actually left wano and the curtain has finally come down on the arc.
For a long time we always had ideas on what the next arc was going to be. Not this time though. Can't wait to see if it's elbaf or some other unknown island.

And for the love of logic don't have Luffy get ridiculously captured or restrained anymore they guy is a yonko, stupid stuff like this shouldn't happen anymore.

I thought this chapter was very well written. Seeing Yamato's story ending with her hugging the scabbards after everything Kaido told her about no one ever accepting her was a good ending in my opinion.
I especially liked the scene with Momo and Luffy, with Luffy telling him that he considers him a little brother. Really puts into perspective who the strawhats were fighting for this arc. Luffy's main motivation being helping his little brother Momo and Kinemon who he also considers one of his own really elevates the arc for me.

Net positive in the sense that we don't have to see 500 more panels of nonsense from Yamato. Oda had his fun, played with guys, you guys became arrogant, we cringed. Now we are free.

Indeed, now imagine the same braindead character who clearly isn't intended to let go of that impersonation quirk for the next 200 chapters while the rest of the crew is already short on meaningful Post TS panel time , yikes.

It just sucks to be feeling so disappointed about something you were sincerely excited about. I wish I could've loved Wano, but instead I'm at an all-time low with my faith in Oda's ability to properly wrap this story up. I really hope things will get better now that we finally left Wano, but it's not like the writer will change too.

conflict resolution isn't always about taking down the big bad with a hit. In this case the people of wano never recognized their part in creating the monster that was orochi by punishing the entire clan for the crime of a grandparent. they simply learnt absolutely nothing. What others might downplay as just a pun looks more like a justification for their previous actions ( it's quite literally celebrated).

oden's in contrast was never meant to apply to him in reality . oden had made reference to that pun while he was alive (and not boiling lol) . And as he passed on the people of wano repeated what he had said so many times as they grieved. Personally any attempt to conflate the two scenarios as similar just tells me you read that line without any attempt to take context into account.


saddened to see yamato didn't develop a bit through the arc but we don't have to see her anymore so I can't say I care, at this point , just wish the time was spent getting to develop other characters that are more likely to play a bigger role i.e carrot who might actually be the tenth straw hat that we are waiting for but unfortunately got like one offscreen chapter fight with perospero throughout the entirety of wano. all in all, can't say I enjoyed this arc given its conclusion.

will miss kinemon, some of the scabbards ,and ofc the oden wank (hopefully zoro serves as a channel for oda to continue that).
