and

Like rly?It was a rly big Lorepoint and future event in FMI.Backed up with the WCI Arc.But now all of this stuff, build up over 10 years, thrown away into the trash?Currently,i see no reason why Luffy should deal with BM or anyone else bar BB at this point of the Story.Assuming BM is dead, makes this woule thing even more irrelevant

Reasonable people understood that Luffy was never going to actually return to WCI to defeat her. They had their moments in Wano, it got handed over to Kid and Law. She may have survived and might be relevant to Elbaf, but I doubt as an antagonist.

Really not sure what the issue here is. It's not a "dropped" plot. She effectively lost when Katakuri lost and they escaped with her RP. That's even how Morgans paints it

He sacrificed Big Mom for Kidd's and Law's rivalry with Luffy. He probably thought that the SN being quite popular it would also be good for the story.
But not only by doing that he made her look weak (he had to restrain the shit out of her) but people's view on Kidd and Law didn't change at all.
Aside from their respective fandom barely anybody sees them as serious rivals for obvious reasons.

"Man I can't wait until I finish the Kaido arc so I can follow up with Luffy going through his promise to beat Big Mom later, any suggestions Editor-san?"

"That's great and all Oda-sensei, but how long will that take?"

"Let's see... Wano so far is easily surpassing 100+ chapters and Big Mom is just as strong as Kaido so-"

"Hmm, so... you plan to do ANOTHER 100+ chapters for her then?"

"Uh... shit, actually... you know what, you're right thats too long and I gotta retire soon"

"fuck it, how about I add both Kaido AND Big Mom in the same arc? this way I take out 2 yonkos with 1 stone and only Shanks D. Snitch will be left to get offscreened by BB later"

"now we are talking Oda-sensei... this will surely give us more volume sales through H Y P E of 2 yonkos? correct?"

"oh you bet"

The only reason BM was thrown into Wano was to get rid of the rocks duo there. It's apparent because Oda had no plot planned for BM which is why her stay was so horrible.

What narrative purpose would it serve for Luffy to go back to WCI to beat someone weaker than Kaido with whom he has no personal connection?
He already had her RP. BM also never had anything left to solve with Elbaf which is why i never got this obsession off her coming to Elbaf.
