i always was told here the fandom only exists in form of @rerere @Lukegranders @ReggieZoldyck21 and me. And non of us is dissapointed as far as I know. He was hated here from some fandom since beginning of wano and even earlier. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tbh if you think those 4 are only actual fans of Kidd, then should make sense to you why he's the most voted here lol.
Anyway, I'm no Kidd hardcore fan, but ever since start of Wano I've been (as shown in posts earlier) advocating ACoC Kidd. Expected there to be actual rivalry scenes between him and Luffy (not just gag or lumped together in SN, but more like Vegeta and stuff). And expected him to at least take out BM in an insanely nice manner instead of bombs being final straw and list goes on.
If you're not disappointed in how Wano treated Kidd, good for you lol, but he deserved far better as someone who was introduced to be protagonist's era rival (which he's not even remotely close to doing). He's not even portrayed as 2nd strongest among captain trio anymore, Law was painted in better light.
Comparing how Oda drew and portrayed Kidd's final attack to stuff like Bajrang Gun or Law's insane ultimate is just... sad.

My expectations for Kidd were that he'd end up being comparable to not only Luffy's feats but also narrative. Instead Oda just took a dump on him and his climax. The moment Luffy introduced ACoC, I immediately said Kidd would learn it in Onigashima- while thinking Zoro won't (I thought he'd show an imperfect use by end, but will only learn it next arc) lol.
And, again, compare how Law and Luffy's ultimates were drawn and portrayed, then look at Kidd's... that's just salt to injury to seal it all. If you're satisfied with his treatment, good for you- but we've all seen YOUR posts of past, too, your estimations were way higher than what we got lol

I have a couple things I wished for Kidd this Arc too, which are Ad. CoC and lifting Onigashima Giant Sword. But:
Long story short, I don't understand this big drama you are making (I remember seeing you arguing in Kidd's favor in the past) when Kidd got one of the best Fan Expectations/Manga Reality ratios out of this Arc.
If you ask me who got the best and worst results of such ratio, the best easily goes to Killer while the worst goes to either Luffy or Zoro.
Kidd didn't make a 10/10 but not even a 7 or 6/10 to me, he got a solid 8,5/10.
Maybe even 9/10.
- Luffy defeated an Emperor (1v1 after a progressive 15v1 including Scabbards, R5, Yamato/Momo). He Lost SEVERAL time in the process, even dying at one point.
- Kidd defeated an Emperor (clean 2v1 with Law, when Linlin was full power and undamaged). He even suffered outside interference DURING the battle and still kept the flow.
PORTRAYAL
- Got the same bounty (3,000,000,000), with the highest bounty bump of the whole serie (+2,530,000,000).
- Got several equal comparisons (Captains, Wisdom Kings).
- 2 Road Poneglyphs owner, making him a genuine competitor for the One Piece.
NARRATIVE
- Oda already made sure to make clear that Kidd already has a relevant new objective (Flame Scar Man). This throws all the "Kidd will be unrelevant after this Arc" arguments straight into the trashcan. Like they belonged anywhere else in the first place...
- Relationship with his partner, Killer, was flashed out a lot in the arc, putting solid bases for the future childhood flashback.
I have a couple things I wished for Kidd this Arc too, which are Ad. CoC and lifting Onigashima Giant Sword. But:
- Onigashima Sword was just a personal headcanon of mine. It didn't happen? Fuck it, we move on.
- Ad. CoC is only postponed to another arc lol, we got Awakening for now. Ad. CoC is still coming to complete the package.

Kid is my biggest disappointemnt (and no, throwing a nonsense bounty equal to Luffy no more makes up for it than Sanji’s > Zoro after the horror of WCI). And I don’t really care about scar man when Luffy has Robin.
But Law’s probably worse. All he does now is bitch about other people, mostly the Strawhats, in a hell of an ungrateful manner. Kid’s a cheerfully unrepentant dick to everyone but his crew, Law comes across as an insecure weirdo now.
Killer’s been a pretty good surprise, least screentime of the lot, but came across pretty well in it.
And Luffy and Zoro still are just way better.

Oda is best at writing right-hand-mans, IMO, Killer had great lines and feats in Onigashima. As far as I know, he's the only Supernova who never got knocked out/incapacitated for a serious amount of time, even after taking Big Mom's giant ass beam canon.
