That was before the merge and could easily have been done for town cred. That just means Ratchet is probably not originally mafia. It says nothing about him being cult.

It was his since it's the same ability as mine....i don't think they both absorbed and copied mine at the same time
Yes Ratchet didn't needed town cred at the tim while you would have been either nuked during the night or lynched next day that would have created enough confusion to leave you alone for at least a cycle ( at least it's what i would have done if i was cornered and one of my teammates was about to get lynched )

Ratchet hasn’t done anything that makes him town outside of that action the entire game. He isn’t playing like himself at all. You don’t have to do something for town cred under suspicion. Mango was refilling people in Weebs just to do it early.
Him amping you made me pause early but the fact that he’s not even solving/completely apathetic to everything happening isn’t anything like him when he’s town. But I have seen him do it as scum in ToS Christmas game and early Weebs (although he eventually took total control over that one).
