A pretty reasonable stance considering that Coby achieved all his strength by sheer fucking will and training, basically the next Garp. He doesn't need a DF, he just needs to be even stronger with training and battle experience.

Exactly there is so much things from a martial artist standpoint with haki thay can make him a top tier.

A small form of Fishman karate, rokoushiki, life return, and advanced ryou with advanced observation and regular coc is all he needs. Hell even if oda gave him these things along with a type of Raid Suit I would have accepted that since regardless he would still have to be strong naturally. But the whole narrative of him capturing coby especially after what he stated chapters ago and cpby being fruitless leaves a horrible taste
