An exhausted Kakashi? Probably not, he’s already surpassed his pre time skip limit and the only ability he has that can meaningfully stop Kakuzu is Kamui—which he didn’t want to use this arc due to the condition it leaves him in.

It’s not a good example which is why I’ve largely ignored it. Kakashi is not a sensor, Kakashi has inferior vision, was exhausted and definitely not a Juubi Jinchuuriki.
Kakashi has over 1000 jutsu in his arsenal, what makes you say Kamui is the only option here though? Plus if he can still Kamui, then he’s not that exhausted, Kamui requires very high level concentration and reaction time.

Kakashi is obviously inferior to Madara there, reaction wise, but Kakuzu is also inferior to Gai, speed wise, it’s a perfectly scaled down version of very similar sequence. The main point is, Kakashi can react to attacks much faster than Kakuzu, but gets crossed up here, what does that really mean? Does it mean Kakuzu’s speed is beyond Kakashi’s reaction time?

Don’t make arguments on hypotheticals, I’m not humoring them lol.

Let’s ask Kakashi;

He was restraining himself due to the side effects of the jutsu.

It’s not.

exhausted Kakashi
Juubi Jinchuuriki with better perception and Sage sensing

Madara puts up a barrier instantly to stop one attack but is outspend the next—Gai’s speed is beyond Madara’s reactions. It’s not that complex.
