Its like vegapunk expected luffy to come here means he was spying on straw hat crew when they reached near egg head.

So far Vegapunk has shown to be side of good but lot of explanation needed why he is still allied to wg .

Vegapunk might be oddity. There is still threat on him to be assassinated and he has advance info about it.

So he will definitely gather good marines (SWORD) and declare his alliance to luffy.
