It’s not really teleportation but using air pressure for speed

There's no proof he needs that amount of time. I think Kuma might have made the Straw Hats trips longer, to keep them safe after they were so wanted. Attacking a CD is a serious crime in this world, one of the worst. Kuma having them leave the public eye for a bit was a good idea.
