It did touch Kaidou (Chapter 1003). Whereas King is very far from Zoro (chapter 1032).

It didn't. It was the flying slash cutting Kaido, not the sword. Zoro is on the ground as I said earlier.

Zoro sent the slash towards Kaido and turned back to take the stance for the camera. He didn't jump up to Kaido and land a direct hit. Tatsukami is never a direct hit. It's an air slash.

But yeah, Blackbeard will hopefully spare us of the Looney Tunes unless Haki>Yami.

Fraud immediately goes awakening for Lucci, while Teach's awakening/s aren't even wasted on Law yet.

Yami/Gura awakenings are obviously bombshells that will overshadow G5.

They have a bigger impact on the plot overall. Marco was a key player at MF and was directly involved in two of the biggest changes that happened during the skip. And then he's involved in the Wano war and will continue to be relevant in the future.

King has seemingly has direct tiers with the Ancient Kingdom or at least Joy Boy. He's also linked to the Holy Land atop the Red Line. He's directly responsible for the shift in power balance by being the main component in creating the Shichibukai clones.

I wouldn’t have minded if Luffy was pressured by Lucci for a little bit and got hit once or twice.

I didn’t expect the end result to be that painful either. Lucci stans got MURDERED.
