Luffy and zoro surpassed lucci and kaku in enies lobby
While growing stronger and stronger even before they started their 2 years of training
Lucci and kaku don't have a faster growth rate than the main characters they already got defeated by

Kaku was quite young and was pretty strong as well.
These guys are similar to the Supernova. There is no reason why they shouldn't have a high growth rate as well, similar to supernova.
Especially given how they literally did nothing for 5+ years in W7 and possibly rusted, still was so powerful.
Don't get me wrong.
Logically, I get your point. Luffy/Zoro should have a higher growth rate. But we know Oda's powerscaling.
But.........we see that Law literally went from getting mid diff'd by Doflamingo (at worst), to giving Yonkos some trouble. With........no on screen growth at all !! He just got awakening, and all it does is improve attack power and versatility, not dura, CQC, speed etc.
Similar story applies to Kid...... and even characters like mid trio, nobody would argue that their Dresrossa versions deserve to even clash with Tobiroppo level alone be on their level.
Thing is if those characters knock him out and see him trying to get back up soon after, they are not gonna just sit around like Luffy and Sentomaru did. They're gonna keep spamming attacks on him to keep him down.
And stuff like Marco's shockwave ball ( that he hit Queen with in the neck ) would fuck Lucci up and probably make him spit blood a bit.

This is same stuff as in EL arc. Lost consciousness momentarily, landed on ship and immediately got back up.
This kinda stuff happens all the time in OP. Heck, even Kaido was knocked down for some time by scabbards
So we can't say that a barrage would keep him down for good, because after a charged attack characters aren't likely to immediately follow up with a barrage. A barrage of attacks isn't something that comes out of nowhere.
