@Shimotsuki Ghostly anyway he’s right, early-mid stage Conan was the GOAT, amazing cases and story, has a bit of almost everything, music, comedy, idol, horror, you name it
I think you brought up anime and that it’s full of fillers? which is correct but in the early days the anime team was able to come up with some iconic cases and they are all worth a watch, same goes to the early movies
It’s a shame that nowadays the manga is being dragged out as hell for the movies and the anime original episodes are nothing but an insult to anyone with more than one brain cell

Yeah that was my fear with the series, it would get milked/dragged out too much like OP is. I used to really enjoy following the cases and trying to solve them. I love detective/mystery stories.

I saw the thing about fillers many years ago, maybe over 12 years ago at least if not more tbh. As least as far as I know/remember?

I got too invested in the actual plot too though, I really wanted to see Conan reveal who he was to Ran, what happened to him and that whole polotline was agonising to see the author tease it and it never went anywhere. There was some other stuff I forgot too. Maybe some organisation of villains or w/e?

I did enjoy it a lot back then but even with my greater patience/tolerance back then, I hit my limit too.

I just can't invest myself in such immensely long series anymore, even if the cases are great to good at least. I don't like not getting a complete story either, having to invest into a series only partially and dropping it because of various issues or w/e, having to enjoy only a certain amount of it.

This is why I've been struggling to get back into Gintama too.

What's really exhausting me too is that post TS OP is now nearing to the entire length of Bleach! Well its probably somewhere around 80-85% the length of Bleach even? Kubo claimed he had 10 years more content for Bleach, regarding the final arc specifically, so I'm kinda grateful he didn't subject us to that in hindsight actually LMAO! 4 years of Wano was BAD enough, but 10 years of a single arc?! Unless there would have been arcs after it ofc?

I used to hate short series with only 12 or 26 episodes and thus 1 season or a few at absolutely most but now I absolutely cherish them ironically. I used to love much longer series instead, oh how the tables have turned!

Thats a real shame about the Conan manga and filler episodes too.

Speaking of Conan anyway, the interview with the author of it and Oda was so nice! Especially Oda being a fellow big fan of Ranma 1/2 like me and I was hoping he was too!:
