You've just proved why eagles do it. Because they confuse the children for their prey.

When leopards hunt the giraffes, they for sure don't confuse the giraffe for their prey. :gokulaugh:
they hunt newborn giraffes because they are easy to kill, just like they do the same to newborn elephants and buffaloes, leopards will hunt those newborns because they are easy kills, they wont then try it after those cuffs are a few weeks old.

Besides eagles taking children and us thinking its because they confuse them for their prey is speculation on our part, many say they take children because kids cant fight back and their flesh is easier for them to eat, we tell ourself that they confuse children for livestock to make us feel better because eagles can see shapes and colour better than humans, so they definitely know that they are taking children but that truth is hard for us to accept

Fine, I can agree that leopards will prey on young giraffes, but that still makes the giraffes as a species a prey to the leopard as a species.

What I can't agree on is you saying that we are basically coping when we say eagles confuse babies with livestock. That's balderdash and completely baseless.
