All Lucci downplayers are exhibiting massive projection and cope.
They've been moving the goalposts constantly since he landed on Egghead.

What actually happened is this delusional fandom spent mid-Wano until now praying for Lucci to get demolished/be uncharacteristically weak and incompetent so they could coom to the SH's being better in every way than every person in the rest of the OP-verse.
They unironically thought Lucci was meant to be seen as on level with the buffoon known as Who's Who which takes absolutely garbage media literacy to have ever thought.
First it was Lucci used his strongest move first which was obviously not the case.
Then it was he'll get one-shotted which didn't happen and then y'all coped by saying his portrayal was just in service of a call back when a call back occurring doesn't change that what's happening on page still happened.
Literally every character on page respects and takes him seriously as a threat but for some reason you all can't see it.
Then he takes out Sentomaru and manages surviving the single most unorthodox combatant in the series in Gear 5th and gets mocked for that and strategically taking total control of the lower area.

I’m saying that Lucci is still going to lose in the end even if not by the hands of Luffy. He won’t win.
Luffy would’ve probably defeated Lucci quicker if he had used an attack such as Gomu Gomu no Bajrang Gun (if he already used this then oops) but that would probably destroy the entire island, if not most of it.
