Yeah, this arc has a good set-up for Dragon to finally make his move.
Him stopping Kizaru/Saturn/Marine with his power allowing straw hats to safely escape would be great hype.

Dragon alone is not doing shit and his Okama army can't beat a single seraphim. Dragon would need to literally beat everyone for the conflict to end. Replacing the Strawhats with the Revos changes nothing.

Akainu and Aokiji weakened each other with their fight. Aokiji became crippled while Akainu's face and neck are scarred and part of his ear is missing. His sense of hearing from pre TS was better than now. While Kizaru remained the same.

Pre TS: Akainu ~ Kizaru ~ Aokiji.
Post TS: Kizaru > Akainu ~ Aokiji because both of them are now missing limb.

Aokiji is the only one that was crippled and we don't even know if he was weakened since his fruit completely replaces that leg.
Battle scars mean and do nothing.

Akainu was superior to Kizaru even pre ts by portrayal and being put up against a superior oponnent. Then he got an extreme diff win and got even stronger.

Whether Kizaru can push extreme diff is already a tough question at this point.
