ik how to make Lasagne:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of ground beef (or substitute with ground turkey, chicken or vegetarian meat substitute)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cans of crushed tomatoes (28 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon of dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 lasagne noodles
  • 4 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups of ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Cook the lasagne noodles in a large pot of boiling water according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Add the onion and garlic and cook until they are softened.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet with the beef. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 15-20 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg.
  6. To assemble the lasagne, spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place a layer of noodles on top of the meat sauce, then spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the noodles. Repeat these layers until you run out of ingredients, making sure to end with a layer of meat sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the lasagne.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese on top is golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Let the lasagne cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips:

  • Be sure to cook the lasagne noodles al dente. If they are overcooked, they will become too soft and won't hold up well in the lasagne.
  • Make sure to spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish before adding any of the other ingredients. This will prevent the noodles from sticking to the bottom of the dish.
  • You can customize the recipe by adding additional vegetables, such as spinach or mushrooms, to the meat sauce. Just be sure to cook them thoroughly before adding them to the skillet.
