I've come to like Shiki in that slot recently.
Proven history of fighting Roger, assaulting Marineford, escaping Impel Down. Able to lift ships into the air to avoid sea currents and naval battles, and directly attack Mary Geoise and other defensive locations, like Wano.
Shiki and Blackbeard are both crazy schemers, too, I'd love to see them work together. Bullet would be very interesting, though.

Moria resurrects Ace and Whitebeard as Zombies
