Kid barely defeated Big Mom and that was with Law's help, and they thought that he would have a chance against someone like Saint Shanks in a 1v1.

I kept saying that Saint Shanks and Blackbeard are both way more important to the story than Kaido and Big Mom, and that neither Kid or Law are going to defeat them.

Kid has shown nothing impressive, spamming awakening is the only thing he has and his awakening isn't even that powerful. Bad haki, slow and very basic moveset.

The Yonko are some of the strongest characters in the series, bar a scant few.
Kidd needed major help against Big Mom.
After all, name one Haki feat that Kidd has.
There's a reason Kaidou said Kidd has CoC.
It's to set up ACoC, which he will probably get soon.
For now he can't hang with Saint Shanks.
Not strong enough.

BB is not a super cautious fighter, he takes hits even when fighting much weaker opponents. Saint Shanks on the other hand is a haki master, Kid should have trouble even landing a hit.

Neither BM or Kaido could 0 diff Kid

Because

1) They're not Swordsmen like Saint Shanks with the insane lethality that he has.

2) Kaidou not having as powerful attacks as Saint Shanks or Akainu doesn't change the fact that he is the WSC.

Oden almost two-shot Kaidou himself.
Kidd getting one-shot ain't that bad.
Swordsmen are just that strong lol.

During the Big Mom fight, Law was the one who carried that fight and was the more impressive one.

I still believe that if it wasn't for Law, Big Mom would have eventually defeated Kid.
