Powers & Abilities Blackbeard getting the Nika feels confirmed at this point

I've been a big supporter of this theory for a while now, but it's always had two major issues:
1. Blackbeard seemingly needs to kill someone in order to take their Devil Fruit
2. Oda is clearly a big fan of Luffy's silly fighting style in Gear 5, so he obviously wouldn't take that away from him

However, recent revelations basically invalidate both these problems.

Luffy's DF is a zoan. Zoans are the easiest DF type to replicate. The Blackbeard Pirates (Or at least some of Blackbeard's subordinates) are currently at Egghead. We have a character on Egghead (York) who is the Strawhat's enemy and is capable of replicating Devil Fruits. York is no longer allies of the World Government as they turned on her, but she is not an enemy of Blackbeard's right now and likely would not be opposed to joining his crew. York, as a Vegapunk, also probably knows about the Nika and therefore knows that she can replicate it.

I don't want to get too hung up on predicting specific scenarios for how things will play out, but I'm fairly confident at this point that both Blackbeard and Luffy will have the Nika when they fight each other.

Only the fruit was stolen by Shanks before Who's Who could deliver it to the WG. How could Vegapunk copy a fruit he did not have access to?

You don't need access to the Devil Fruit itself; you need access to the Devil Fruit user's DNA. That's how it happened with Kaido on Punk Hazard.

Luffy's dumb enough that York would just need to ask Luffy for some strands of his hair

Luffy just met VP. We have not been shown Luffy giving any of the VPs anything that would have Luffy's DNA. Usually, there is foreshadowing of events. Maybe I missed something.

This would go against them saying the fruit has a will of its own and chooses its user. The story hinted that Nika chose Luffy. Luffy and his silliness, somewhat carefree attitude and desires for complete freedom resonate with Nika and Joyboy.

Unless Blackbeard gets it and it rejects him (which would be great to see.)

Like Whitebeard told Poserbeard, he's not the one.

BB and Luffy Match Up sounds weird but shirahoshi is ancient weapon and Nefartari might be connected to some ancient weapon as well.
I see Luffy and BB being the yang/yin of the Will of the D.

Wikipedia:

yin (jɪn) Also Yin, Yn. [Chinese yīn shade, feminine; the moon.]
a. In Chinese philosophy, the feminine or negative principle (characterized by dark, wetness, cold, passivity, disintegration, etc.) of the two opposing cosmic forces into which creative energy divides and whose fusion in physical matter brings the phenomenal world into being. Also attrib. or as adj., and transf. Cf. yang.
b. Comb., as yin-yang, the combination or fusion of the two cosmic forces; freq. attrib., esp. as yin-yang symbol, a circle divided by an S-shaped line into a dark and a light segment, representing respectively yin and yang, each containing a 'seed' of the other.
yang (jæŋ) Also Yang. [Chinese yáng yang, sun, positive, male genitals.]
a. In Chinese philosophy, the masculine or positive principle (characterized by light, warmth, dryness, activity, etc.) of the two opposing cosmic forces into which creative energy divides and whose fusion in physical matter brings the phenomenal world into being. Also attrib. or as adj. Cf. yin.
b. Comb.: yang-yin = yin-yang s.v. yin b.

Vivi's connected to Pluton since the Alabastan royal family guards the Poneglyph that describes Pluton's location. I don't think there's any connection that goes beyond that.

It's just one possibility. Like I said, I don't want to get too hung up on specific scenarios for how things can out.

Basically my point is that I think Luffy's fruit is the only zoan that would make thematic sense for Blackbeard to have, and characters like Vegapunk or York being able to replicate Devil Fruits makes the idea a lot more plausible.

This would go against them saying the fruit has a will of its own and chooses its user. The story hinted that Nika chose Luffy. Luffy and his silliness, somewhat carefree attitude and desires for complete freedom resonate with Nika and Joyboy.

I agree, but I think it would make sense in that Blackbeard tries to force things to go in his own direction, but isn't capable of Awakening the Nika due to him lacking the qualities that truly makes someone Joyboy
