Shanks was to afraid of going after One Piece when Kaido and Big Mom were Yonko. He was afraid of Kidd and used all his fleet plus giant to help him. He couldn't one-shot Kid by himself it took Kid's own attack to damage him to become unconscious. Shanks was too scared to face Bartolomeu because he is from Luffy's fleet so he went for Elbaf instead. That's thrashing Shanks.

We didn't saw what happened after final clash. Maybe it was a drawn and Teach's crew called marines or had kairoseki to arrest Ace. Maybe Ace even won but was on the edge of his counscious and couldn't escape. Those are possibilities when Oda doesn't show what happened. Specially Oda that loves to subvert vieweres expectations.

It is easy to guess Shanks didn't had haki when Teach scarred him. He already had his scar when he met Luffy on chapter 1. He didn't had armament otherwise Sea King would never bite his arm off. He didn't had Observation otherwise he would know what happened when that bandit tried to escape with Luffy. And he just unlocked Conqueror on that situation otherwise he would have used earlier on the bandit or the Sea King. Basic logic.

Is not clear at all that Law fight became 1 on 1. Teach has no will to make it 1 on 1.

My man this some crazy shit that i don't think will go any where with a debate .

Also Oda did not plan shit so far in advance the only reason shanks lose arm is because Oda editor say it make the story more interesting lol

Agreed the reasoning as to why is because cipher pol has a history of fighting our favorites. While sword is fighting whom is supposed to be our favorites end goal and are actually doing a good job. Which now makes the end goal of our favorites look almost trash.

They were trash from the start but some people didnt want to admit it.

We had Burgess,Vasco,Devon getting fodderized but somehow there are people who still insist they are super strong.

Burgess = Earth Bender.

Lafitte = Air Bender.

Vasco Shot = Fire Bender (liquor/wine can catch on fire).

Aokiji = Water/Ice Bender.

Sanji = Azula since both has fire and lightning.

- Kuzan is a double agent and will betray BB before the fight among BB crew and SH, so he's out of the picture.


- Vasco Shot is Jimbe's opponent: a blobfish fishman with drunken style vs Jimbe's fishman karate.

- Laffitte is probably Nami's fight: a flying/bird dude perfect to be fried by Zeus, navigator vs navigator.


Sanji's opponent is Burgess, an unga bunga wrestler who has spent all his experience points on the Strength build.

Yip added with the fact that cipher was the introduction of what i still think is the greatest fighting style in the one piece rokoushiki. Which is why I love the fact thay oda has coby being a master of every form of it. However oda should have showed us more of it from him (coby)
