Oh, it’s rehoming shit…people need to really, REALLY fucking think about whether or not they actually have the capacity to raise a child, a pet, or any other dependent creature before taking on a responsibility that massive. It truly infuriates me when assholes accrue what, to them, amounts to living collectibles and wield them as examples of their inherent goodness without ever taking care of them in an acceptable manner…I have to frequently watch my neighbors neglect the dog they recently got, and it just makes me wonder why the fuck they adopted the damn thing, something they didn’t have to do and are demonstrably terrible at, just to make it suffer. It’s inhumane to subject animals to that kind of mistreatment, but it is absolutely indefensible and shows irreversible moral decay in a person who does that with children.
