I heard some scientists saying that the organisms that live the most are the ones that can synthesize more vitamin C and he said humans have a genetic mutation to synthesize more, but the gene is inactive. Also,if we master stem cells tech,we might be able to extend our life span even more. Some people have reached 120-130 years already without these techs. So the possibility is there.I think immortality is stupid, but living long life spans, with great health and athleticism is something that i would desire.
We lived for much longer just take a look at ages of our prophet like Noah, Adam etc (Peace be upon them)
They lived for near millenias.. But we're a generation that is not meant to live long
My problem doesn't stem from longevity itself its the delusion that it will guarantee your happiness in such reducing societies.
And even if such tech was ethical.. we're in over our head if we think scientists would wanna mass spread this tech.
Such goals are only even remotely valid when the world has somewhat reached an equalibrum and has maintained peace.
In such a turbulent world of cynicalism and extreme individualism, thinking of longevity is selfish.. if cohesion doesn't lead to such desires then such desires are only self - assuring tales
