Character Discussion Katakuri is more a Marco/King or a Yamato/Ace ?

mostly been his role in the story yes , but against top tiers
thats the most commanders are doing anyway. against other commanders he isnt just that but he would be equally as hard if not harder to put down.
The only moment we got to see that was in the brief 2v1 tho.

I would say kat is the most well rounded fighter of the group. wouldn't necessarily say the strongest. Thats the best description I can give cause ultimately you can be better than your opponent in almost every single thing but one specific thing and that is enough to tilt battles the opposite way. katakuri was better than luffy at everything thing but their attack power was incomparable and that fight was decided.
He simply could not pack as much power as gear 4 could.

BM has a better bounty than Luffy, Zoro has a higher bounty than her first mate. And is factually a better Conqueror.

About WCI Kata vs Marco and King
I don’t think he was stronger than them
They were all 3 really close to each other, same level, same age, same type of gimmick, same position in their respective crew etc
But fear wise and importance wise I think Larco was the strongest of the 3.

But next time we will see him Kata will end up the strongest of the 3

Benn & Zoro : nowadays version of Rayleigh
These are the 4 strongest non Yonko/Admirals
Oh yeah there's also Posthawk
Marcos df is annoying
That's nothing to do with him being powerful as fighter...we saw he lacks great CoA and skills
Every lunraian is invincible with flames on, that's not really king hype
If any yC was above Katakuri, Luffy would fight them in Wano before fighting Kaido
Luffy never defeated awakened Katakuri! (Awakenwd katakuri beat Luffy badly, even boundman)
Didn't even veat base Katakuri! (Snakeman could only match base katakuri)
Nor did he beat katakuri with Mogura. (All he could do is dodge)
There's a reason why Katakuri vs Luffy ended with both KOed, with Katakuri not using awakening and mogura
Luffy never surpassed Katakuri until he got Adcoa.
Same way Kaido vs G5 ended with Kaido jisg nevome more lethal (flaming bagua with adcoc and ryuo) but not with FS-drunk modes where his haki and stats get stronger.
- Born standing...legendary birth
- Legendary battle record (undefeated in NW that even Jinbei and everyone hype him that high)
- Special weapon : Mogura
- Special paramecia : mochi mochi
- Special haki abilities that only few peiple can have : CoC & FS
- Special skills : awakening, that only some peille can awaken
- Etc...

Don't mix King with these low lives. Kata is neither, he doesn't have the potential of Ace or Yamato. The guy is around Marco and King age he is not suddenly going to grow stronger.
Marco and Kata are like children to their captains, King is not like that. Kaido's crew is such that nobody really respects the one's above except Kaido even though they obey the commands.
