I was just reading the "gohdroger leaks" earlier and they mentioned Imu was a kid too....They had been deaged to childhood by the immortality surgery but Bonneys fruit is always a possibility too. Im extremely surprised by the Gorosei not getting deaged by Bonney when they had her, well we're getting to see what happened now instead ofc but what if Bonney ended up deaging Imu somehow? Or Imu was deaged before by the fruits user? A previous user?
Also the same guy said Aokijis fruit was used to cool the room Imu was in, the frozen tomb and keep it cool as the planet was heating up, OP climate change and Aokiji deserted the Marines because they wanted him to be the new "freezer/air conditioner" for them.
