he really goes all in, even with a full on gag character

his character in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was kinda like that, super goofy around a super serious plot, and it kinda worked

he was always goofy or heartfelt, it's weird

i don't know if he will make it work again, but i wanna see it
