Well Oda clearly portrayed Garp like what he did to Whitebeard and Kaido means he will die :peperain::peperain:
Even if he dies next chapter doesn’t change the fact that Oda has completely fodderised the BB pirates to a joke when we don’t know anything about them. How can we as the reader care for any of them if what people predicted is right and we are getting 1 Vs 1 fights

RayanOO

Lazy is the way
He was a fodder for an admiral though.
Like always it's within the context of the movie

Just look at his story (i checked the wiki lol)

Z was an admiral at 38
Then 3y later his family was killed and he resigned from admiral position
He then spent 23y just traning young ones as instructor
Then his arm got cut by a pirate and whole squad decimated
Then at 70 he got a mechanical arm
And the man was sick and had breathing problems

By the time Luffy fought him at age 74 he wasn't in his prime at all. The man wasn't in active duty since his 41y.

And Z level was fluctating through the whole movie : could fight Kizaru a little bit in the beginning, then destroyed Luffy, and only in the end Luffy managed to "beat" him. And even after than Z managed to fight thousands marines and tank Kizaru laser spam while staying consicous.

Luffy vs Z was classic Luffy beating someone above his pay grade due to plot/circumstances/nerf etc

I believe WB's endurance is off the charts though. Sickbeard took that stab before any fighting even started and then wasn't slown down by hundreds of stabs, bullet and cannon shots not ignoring the Magma fisting.

Garp doesn't seem to be built like that.
Yes, he doesn't—WB was an endurance monster in his own right. But I think Garp is a better fighter offensively. He did rival Roger and WB back in the day. WB doesn't just have high endurance but he also has planet-wiping offensive prowess. So Garp must've been a monster in offense and other departments to match the monsters that Roger and WB were. This increases Sengoku's stocks too IMO.

Oda’s doing nothing wrong. BBP would still be a threat to the SHs, that doesn’t mean they should be a threat to someone like Garp, and other top-tiers, the established strongest characters in the verse. That would even make little to no sense if Oda sacrifices Garp’s hype for a Franky opponent lol.

Oda really fucked up Shiryu for me
Supposed to be goat magellans rival

yet was given one of the worst fruits in OP and is just a backstabbing guy with nothing else about him and now got fodderised

Movie levels are always absurd, no point using them (someone said Shiki? Lol).

But Z was a hell of a character.

I believe Sengoku is more well-rounded and not as agressive in a fight.

No the point is that we know nothing about these BBP from a character or strength point of view and the first thing we see is them getting fucked up in every angle by Laws crew and now Garp manhandelling 4-5 at once.

Why would the reader care for them as opponents anymore
