I woke up around the time the episode started due to Nightmares, stress, grieving My grandma especially but that episode has really cheered me up.
It legit was like being a child again. Reliving my childhood, the actual goofy cartoon days.
I completely understand why Oda did Gear 5 this way now. Also that retrofuturistic, atompunk, astro boy style setting for Egghead and the Punks, which Dragonball especially the OG really was influenced by too (Capsule Corp ofc and such).
The sound effects, the overtaken remix, the animation and visuals. I legit couldn't be happier. Some slight issues and annoying omission but honestly this is the happiest I've been with one piece in well over a decade and even my own life maybe.
This episode was really cathartic. I took tons of screenshot but others will make far better ones and clips of it too ofc.
For once ill actually go visit the episode thread too now lmfao.
I only saw the last few mins of the episode so not sure if they played that luffy awakened power song but I suspect its gonna be later on somehow?
Can't wait for jump rope and balloon Kaido LMFAO!
