TLDR: Worry about real sex crime, not fictional sex crime.
The Japanese chose to put their most warped sexual delusions into fictional fantasy, rather than take their most warped sexual delusions and brainwash children with them like most of the Western world, ie the people who told my gay friend she should be murdered and burn in the afterlife in a giant oven/concentration camp called hell.
So, Japan has normalized perverts showcasing their fetishes with fiction, as a result of their country having horrible sexual expression in the first place (people act like hugging in Japan is innapropriate at times, physical contact is highly scrutiized there socially).

I try to really step back and check my biases when it comes to the world. While some Japanese anime/manga content is horribly sexist, stuff like Cardcaptor Sakura and Sailor Moon REALLY helped me be a better man when I was a young boy, and realize how cool and powerful women were. I wish I had continued to watch shows like that, honestly, but once I neared my teenage years I just wanted to see all the stuff adults didn't want me too...
