Oh yeah, all those Two Piece fanfictions were rad.
Although, I still want a panel of Carrot on Zou, just so that all those barrel and other theories will die forever, like Zutara did.
So, basically most of worst takes are based on
- two piece power scaling
- nakama theories
May I also add Oda's estimates on "when OP will end" to the mix? I mean, he himself doesn't want to answer that question anymore 🤣
@CoC: Color of Clowns , tagging you as I want to see what you perceive as a worst take, knowing your own tendency for wild theories, that should be something golden!
My personal worst take was zombie Kaido, Eten called me out for how stupid it was. I liked it thematically, but it just didn't work well, because Zoro killing Kaido needed to have Kaido in dragon form, and Kaido would lose his Fruit after death. The only way it could have worked (I did have a workaround) was Blackbeard stealing Kaido's Fruit, then giving it back to his corpse after having Moria, or someone else with the Shadow Fruit, resurrect Kaido.
I really liked the idea, because Zoro using Shusui, the sword he got from Zombie Ryuma, who killed a dragon with it, it to kill Zombie Kaido was super cool, and because it gave Moria a way to get psuedo revenge on Kaido by ruining his glorious death and making him a hollow puppet.
The worst takes I've seen are from Rootbeer, but that's like, its own tier of stupid.
Overall, I think the worst takes are anything that says a weaker character can't become stronger.
People act like Carrot is too weak, when Chopper and Brook got bodied by Perospero easily, and Carrot could actually put up a fight against him, especially in Sulong.
People say Vivi is too weak, when we have characters like Koby being called the future of the Marines by Garp, when Koby started the series off as the weakest person imaginable.
The entire point of the series is that dreams make reality. As long as someone believes they can be stronger and trains, they'll get stronger.
Saying "this character's too weak to become this later" or "this character is too weak to join the Straw Hats" is proof you're just ignoring how Oda actually writes characters and power ups. Man has NO PROBLEM giving chracters crazy power ups in short period.
Hell, Luffy learned more in 2 weeks in Wano about Advanced Haki than he did in two years while training with Rayleigh.
