Oda is not like the One Piece fanbase.
No faction in the series has taken less losses than the Admirals. The only time an Admiral lost was when two Admirals fought for the Fleet Admiral position.
Oda is not going to let an Admiral get low diffed when it took Luffy a bunch of ass-pulls, 14 other fighters, and Kaido having to waste stamina lifting Onigashima the entire fight, for Luffy to beat Kaido.
It's always funny how people forget that.
That Kaido spent literally every fight after defeating the Scabbards battling while having to use his own stamina to move Onigashima THROUGH THE DAMN SKY.
There's a good chance Kaido wasn't Awakened in Wano, but, honestly, I don't even know what the FUCK his Awakening would be after everything we've seen. He beat the shit out of multiple top tiers for hours while lifting an entire small island by himself.
Oda gives respect to top tiers.
People who think Kizaru is going to fold to Luffy should tell me when Luffy can take on the people Kaido did and win.
Luffy is stronger than Kaido my ass.
Oda has never been willing to shit on his entire series' power system just to hype up Luffy, Marineford proved that.
It's possible that Luffy beats Kizaru, but, even if Kizaru looks bad in this chapter, don't give up hope. We got Paramecia Awakening, then Mythical Zoan Awakening, so next is Logia Awakening.
There is no better time for an Admiral to show Awakening than in a 1v1 battle against a Yonkou. Luffy's overall attack power is at mid/high top tier, but, his ultimate attack takes a ton of time to charge up and use, so, a guy like Kizaru can dodge Bajrang Gun easily. Kaido took it on, Kizaru won't, unless Luffy is dumb enough to aim that attack at Egghead and risk destroying everyone there.

At least Leao got a consolation goal, Betis just got spanked 5-0 without sniffing a goal. Redon must've been seething all weekend. Which means he'll take it out on us again 
Fail! Was so hyped after the long TD. I don't want the Comamnders to go 2-0 cause now we're 100% the confirmed the worst team in the league. Even the Giants came back to beat the Cardinals
