I actually think he makes it out alive, Kizaru keeps hesitating and Lucci's getting dealt with. I mean, with all the parallels to Sabaody losing all the Punks would make it seem like even after beating Kaido Luffy is still not strong enough to protect his friends this close to the Final War.

It'd be thematically weird to have him die, especially since no one has inherited VPs will yet. His dreams are noble and fall in line with everything the Straw Hats will likely achieve upon Luffy becoming Pirate King. Maybe a Punk carries on instead, but I am confident he makes it out (even if alone).

Why would he have just randomly gotten stronger? He didn’t fight anyone nor was there any mention of him individually growing.

Admirals represent the power of the Marines. They represent the main military force of the WG. It would make 0 sense that the Marines downgraded their main power over the time skip, while every other faction upgraded.

Logically, if you're the strongest in history. The individuals that represent your power would be the strongest in history as well. Normally how it works in manga.

What I stated is that the military as show before the TS seemed weaker than previous generations. That's why they resorted to recruit civilians which made the marines stronger. Is that too hard for you to understand or do you need a graphic with bullet points?

My personal opinion is that Fuji is a fraud but this should not affect the overall fact that the Marines can be stronger than before with the help of civilians

Sengoku was more tactical and smart, Akainu is more of a musclehead.
Under Sengoku's rule, Aramaki wouldn't start trying to raid Yonko territory all by himself and failing miserably.
