I think it comes from a place of honestly that he probably couldn't pull off as scum

He didn't need to give us that info but he did which is going a long way for me

1. Why midnight is playing and acting vastly different then the push on him in metal gear
2. The 5 stages of grief he is going through, scum go through that, not town
3. His role claim
4. The resistance to his lynch

Thinking the unknown over the known here is preferable, given how hard it has been to get Midnight back up in votes. I dont trust the "town now" claim at all, but at least it's a known now. At any time we can go back to it or a vig can take of him
