"you grew up so fast"... is literally a variation of a phrase older adults use for their children/grandchildren/nephews/etc that they haven't seen in ages but have no grown.

The widely used phrase like "Kids grow up so fast" is the samething, it's not saying the Kids grew 10 years in 2 days... is just expressing on the time flying by fast as they grew up.

Nah, there are scenes she's drawn as a child that hint at it being her true form.

When she's in the ocean and in Kuma's memories.

In neither case was there a reason for her to transform into a child.
