Oda is trying too hard to recreate Rox. Like Roger/Garp is Luffy, BB is Xebec, Kaido's kid is....Kaido i.e. an apprentice like Shanks/Buggy.

Even Kizaru mentioned Weevil is like a "young Whitebeard"

Yamato, Luffy and Kid vs Kaido is going down IMO

I doubt it honestly. Even if Yamato doesn't like Kaido, I still don't think he will turn on his own father and try to kill him. Probably be similar to the Katakuri situation where he is open to Luffy defeating the captain (Big Mom/Kaido) but wouldn't actually directly betray his parent.

It's just ridiculous for him to be really alone.

Examining the story, Perospero seems really important to this arc. He's not only the linchpin and brain of the crew but also indirectly killed Pedro, it would be great to see Sulong Minks get their revenge.

Maybe because Oda intends for Linlin and her eldest son to be taken down during the new age by the alliance while Smoothie and the rest of the crew fight off a third party (marine admiral/BB pirates/Elbaf warriors?) down the waterfall.
