Man... I started welling up during Kuma's backstory and explains so much about him... The is no chance that Kuma doesn't follow the drums of liberation with the iron giant, and go save Luffy and the gang. Kuma's father promised him that Nika was real, and Kuma better fucking see him even if its the last thing he sees before dying.

I really hope he doesn't die on Egghead though, he deserves to see the dawn more than anyone.

It would be a pleasant surprise to see Kuma survive Egghead, but I think it's very likely he'll die there a hero by saving everyone and inspire Bonney to go out and see the dawn for herself.

It certainly seems like things are heading in that direction. Regardless of whoever formally joins the crew (if anyone at all), I do think it's looking very likely that both Bonney and Vivi (once she inevitably reunites with them) are going to be traveling with the Straw Hats for the rest of the final saga.

It might be that Bonney joins the crew officially, while Vivi maintains her status as the Straw Hats' proverbial Sixth Ranger and only joins the crew temporarily until the series is over, so that she can properly take the throne as Queen of Alabasta after Imu and the WG are defeated. Meanwhile Bonney continues to sail across the world as a Straw Hat.
Booney is like female version of Luffy dont think she'll ever join.

I love how like, 5-10 chapters ago we didn't believe Oda had it in him to kill characters. But with Dark Piece stocks rising... god this chapter was so fucking good.

Him dying would be the most obvious thing and I expect that. But the way I see it he's been dead for a bit now and I'm hoping Oda maybe allows him to slowly recover throughout the remainder of the series. Maybe we get him doing a repeat of his dads Nika dancing but this time instead of tragic, its a warm moment where Kuma finally feels free enough to be a bit silly.

Kuma is not dying he has suffered worse than death. Its sad his parents died because he is from different race.

I agree Kuma technically died when vegapunk made him a cyborg.
