Holy shit if Bonney ends up being a child that makes G5 especially nice, because its going to look like Luffy is just as silly and fun loving as promised. Even while he beats up a Demon and an Admiral he'll still be laughing and mucking about. As if a cartoon character came to life and starting beating all of her bullys up.
And for Kuma it might revive that child like wonder that was stolen from him.
What if Luffy gets the literal power of friendship and can gain strength from people calling for him. Like Kuma/Bonney give him a little more juice. It'd be Kino if what fully brings him back is Kizaru starting to hope that Vegapunk escapes and starts wishing he could do as he likes for once.

I don't know about you, but I don't want a lame ass reason for Luffy to suddenly regain his strength when he's clearly out of it. We already seen the robot activating with the sound of Nika's heartbeat, so it's not out of the realm of possibility for it to activate again if Bonney start drumming.
Luffy regaining his strength whenever he hears a drumbeat would be one of the lamest plot devices conceived in the history of story telling.

Nice chapter. Hopefully Luffy vs Kizaru isn't done.
Saturn continued to look great, choosing to get stabbed then healing. Him neutralising Sanji, Bonney and Franky as threats quickly was very impressive and without even getting serious too. Not the best look for Sanji, hopefully things improve from here. Franky did good, saving his captain before Saturn turned his sights to him.
Luffy leaving Kizaru in such a state is pretty wild. Some downplayed the comment of Kizaru saying it's bad and the ridiculous blow but I'm not surprised it ended up doing good damage. Didn't expect Kizaru to be down for long though. Saturn even acknowledging that Kizaru's state was due to Luffy. Only way this turns out decent for Kizaru is if he's stalling due to his hesitance to harm Vega and I sincerely doubt that (Sanji needjng to give Vegapunk the heads up to dodge the beam, Kizaru being determined to finish his mission and not wanting to prolong things).
To be fair, some top-tiers just aren't durability monsters like Kaido and Big Mom, Kizaru's speed feats were great and his fighting style was very good for stalling or dodging Luffy's advances but he should've known running after Vegapunk while Luffy's around wasn't the way to go. I've had Luffy above Kizaru going into the battle but I don't think the gap is ridiculous, Kaido though is looking very good after taking all those Conqueror's-imbued hits and going on. Hopefully awakening or atleast some more strong moves are busted out by Kizaru to give Luffy a bigger challenge, timing out aside. Luffy may restart his heart to save Bonney or that Ancient Robot intervenes. I look forward to whatever Oda goes with.
Kuma's past was pretty good, perhaps not as amazing as expected but definitely sympathetic enough. Not sure how I'm feeling about nika being worked into his past but it makes sense given the slave background. sIvankov was great as well, very inspiring and headstrong. On second thought, that little girl is probably just Bonney's mom, not interested in Dragon getting with her given how much younger the trio of Kuma, Iva and Jinny are compared to him.

I really did not know that the Celestial Dragons were horrible people.
This chapter really opened my eyes to how terrible they are and that they are the bad guys of the story.
After this chapter I have a new theory that maybe Luffy will be the Warrior of Liberation "Nika".
