Resin is much better than Luffy being some fucking Gary Stu made up God self insert Mythical Zoan whatever nonsense. If Nika had been there from the beginning, mentioned throughout the story, I wouldn't have minded so much, except for the 25 years of gaslighting us on what his fruit is too.
The SHs dont have a logia on the crew yet so Luffy being one all along would have made up for it too. Plus I cant remember if there is a devil fruit tree or not or if its just headcanon by us, but if Luffy was the resin fruit, it could tie in really nicely to that and thus the origin of DFs too then.
People say Skypeia "isn't canon/important" but Nika was first brought up there and a little important there at least and it came up against with the little girl mermaids at Fishmen Island with even a joke about their names in that regard too. Also works for "foreshadowing" with Sanji and his siblings in a way too lol.
Skypeia is meant to be a microcosm of the story of OP itself and given Enel wanted to go to space and how VASTLY important space is to the story so far and to Oda himself and what Enel found in space, on the moon, Skypeia is only gonna age much better and get far more important, like Thiller Bark did after over a decade of slander too!

Now thats true as well. He's like the Vegeta/Yamcha/Wolverine (Wolverine especially with the exoskeleton). I loved that moment of him tanking S-Sharks punch but now Oda is back to Sanji slander as normal.
Sanji and Usopp are meant to be CoO specialists and Sanji is the fastest SH now especially (idk about comparisons to Luffy but Idc lol) and Oda wants to make him a Sanjobber instead as usual. Oda really seems to forget haki for both of them, especially Usopp and it feels like Oda gave Sanji an exoskeleton too, so Sanji can get stronger and durable without training BUT also because he doesn't have to worry about drawing haki on him too then, with his suit and such.
Its also like he has some kind of precondition/preoragative or w/e that insists he can't make Sanji look too good for too long or it will "destroy the balance of all we know" or something like that lol. That stuff with Jinbei post Wano was very spiteful on his behalf too lol.
Sanji is the 3rd in command of a Yonko crew, its ridiculous how Oda seems to treat him now still especially.
