I didnt know that,but people here assume middle east=islam=terrorism.It sucks,but it is what it is.There are 1,5 million muslims living here and i still to find news about any hate crimes done by brazilian muslims.

I'm Brazilian,not american.I do know that Muslim use some of our prayers and view Jesus as a great prophet.

Not only did they blame on us muslims as a whole, they forgot that they brought it upon themselves. Some of them are pure maniac, but there's no doubt that some are the byproduct of the mess the west created in middle east. It's still wrong nonetheless, but what do you expect? Imagine being one of the worst people to witness your family died a very tragic death, it would be hard to keep your sanity intact.

It's a never ending cycle. Had the western powers not unlawfully dissolved the Ottoman empire, the world would look very different today

Indeed
It is cliche, but it's the cycle of hatred. It would take enormous willpower not to succumb to it. And in a fit of rage it's no wonder people don't consider the tenets of their faith but just how to inflict the same emotional damage on the other.

I pray I never have to experience either side of that

Surgical strikes is just PR, Tsahal strikes randomly as they don't care about non-israeli lifes. If hamas/hezbollah fighters get killed, no need for any justification. If kids/civilians (journalists in this case) get killed just claim they were used as human shield by terrorists and thus unavoidable collateral damage.
