Do I think that a flashback chapter that ends with a flashback character being kidnapped is the last chapter in a sequence of flashbacks.

And that train of logic needs a leap of faith that Akainu is significantly superior to the other Admirals. That is something I'm not willing to take atm.

Yeah if the fight lasted for like an hour you’d have a point. There was ten days straight. For all we know Sakazuki only got that chance to take his leg because Kuzan made a mistake or because kuzan hestitated. Oda setting up fights like this is done to say these combatants are close in power.
