https://www.pewresearch.org/short-r...marriage-would-affect-religious-institutions/
"Virtually everyone agrees that the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution offers some protections for religious groups. For example, most (even among gay rights advocates) believe the Constitution protects clergy from being required to officiate at marriages for same-sex couples and churches from being forced to allow gay and lesbian couples to marry in their sanctuaries.

But what about a church basement or retreat center, which is rented out for opposite-sex weddings? And what about a religiously affiliated institution, like a university, that offers married heterosexual students housing but refuses such accommodation for married gay and lesbian students?

These questions have real-world implications, since virtually all American religious groups have affiliated nonprofits (such as schools, hospitals and charities). And many, including some evangelical Protestant denominations, the Catholic Church, the Mormon church and Orthodox Jewish groups, oppose gay marriage on religious grounds.

Some scholars believe that the ruling in favor of gay marriage will not lead to widespread acrimony and legal battles. They note, for example, that there is no federal law banning discrimination based on sexual orientation. And, of the 22 states that ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, a majority (13) have at least some protections for religious groups written into their anti-discrimination statutes.

“There’s a big difference between something that could be an issue and something that’s likely to be an issue,” says Robert Tuttle, who teaches religion and law at George Washington University. Tuttle says he believes there may be some lawsuits, but he predicts that in more cases than not, accommodation and compromise are likely to win out. “After all, we still allow institutions, like universities, to discriminate based on gender,” he says.

But University of Illinois law professor Robin Fretwell Wilson says it’s possible that institutions will be pressured to give ground on gay marriage by federal authorities (such as the Internal Revenue Service, which could take away an institution’s tax-exempt status), state civil rights commissions or private lawsuits. She notes, for example, that the federal government now reads its laws against sex discrimination “to include sexual orientation discrimination, which opens a whole layer of potential threat” to religious organization
"And yet she also says it is possible that all sides will “be able to live in peace,” noting a recent compromise in Utah, “where you saw an extension of gay rights in exchange for religious protections.”"
and i bolded some other interesting parts

and honestly they shouldnt be tax exempt anyway

Dismantle IDF like they want to dismantle Hamas, give the palestinians compensation, charge the IDF and the aggressive settlers, and leave the fucking palestinian alone. People like you always focuses on the October 7th when palestinians were getting oppressed on daily basis way before that like the videos I and everyone else have shown
how did i focus on october 7th exactly? lmfao.

what about the state of israel?

It's up to the palestinian. Maybe they can still exist, but they 100% have to return the land that were recently occupied

Anyone with an ounce of brain cells would start questioning themselves over the IDF's and Israeli Government's claims over the last month. Every single claim they made ended up being either completely fabricated or extremely exaggerated.

Of course, when presented with such in-your-face facts, the usual suspects will weer the discourse to "But what about the state of Israel?"

What about the state of Palestine?

Hell, what about what's left of the state of Palestine?

The goalposts will never stop moving and the acknowledgment of the Palestinian genocide will only come when it's too late for the Palestinians but just right for virtue signaling and the classic "oh, why oh why did we let this happen?! Couldn't have anyone stopped it?!"

Signs of this "Israel-Hamas" war having parallels with the War in the middle East that happened as a response to the 2001 destruction of the Twin Towers are there.

Some terrorists from the middle East start something that kills a bunch of people and the next thing you know, there's plans and cries for a full on war which was advertised as "war on Terror" and "finding weapons of Mass Destruction" but eventually turned out to be a war mostly for oil.

Result of an over a decade long war turning vast parts of what used to be cities with a somewhat thriving population into a bunch of scrap heaps.

I wonder if this war will play out similarly?

Btw the ideal thing for US citizens could do is to not enlist in the military for the primary reason of participating in this Israel-Hamas conflict here. Let the two nation-states figure things out for themselves at this point.

This Israel Palestine war may actually lead to a full-blown World War. Let's see how this situation is handled. There is a small chance that the war may not escalate but I doubt it given how far up their asses the Zionists are.

Another manipulation tactic. Either that, or trying to save face for all the propaganda.

If the state of israel returns the entirety of "palestine" they kinda stop existing though

The convo with photon where i asked that question was completely separate from this

Just interesting to know whether people are in favor of the eradication of the state of israel

read stuff till the end and don't cherry pick what you like:

I said "that were recently occupied"

Even if the palestinians want all their land back, it is still justified. Korea and China were never Japan's even after decades of colonization, major parts of the southeast asia were never Dutch's, japan's, or portuguese's even after centuries of colonization, etc.
